With the opening of the new buildings, we anticipate many additional visitors using our spaces during the week for programs and ministries. Receptionists are needed to answer phones throughout the week and to answer questions about our many church activities.

St. Luke’s is home to many ministries and programs each day, and with the opening of our new buildings, we will see an increase in visitors using our spaces. Throughout the week, we need additional greeters to welcome and guide guests.
Welcome our guests and members all the way from the parking lot to the Sanctuary.
Transport guests and members from the parking lot to the church doors.
Share words of encouragement with others in times of joy and grief.
1 - 3 hrs/week
Share the love of Christ with church members, friends, and family who are hospitalized in Houston.
Bring flowers to a homebound or sick church member.
Be a friend in Christ to a person in need. Fifty hours of training is provided prior to commissioning.
Assist families during wedding rehearsals and ceremonies.
During memorial services, greet guests, distribute bulletins, and serve refreshments.
Lead worship through song.
30 min - 1 hr/quarter
Assist families before and during baptisms.
Welcome the congregation, distribute bulletins, and collect offerings.
1 - 2 hrs/month
Film services for our television and livestream ministries.
Prepare the elements before the 8:30 or 12:05 service.
Answer phones at the church office.
Collect attendance pads in the Sanctuary after the 11:00 service.
Prepare class binders.
Prepare crafts and lesson materials for Sunday School classrooms.
Play with a child with special needs (or his/her siblings) while parents enjoy a Friday night out.
Bring baked treats to honor our nursery caregivers.
Partner with a child with special needs during Sunday School.
Sew "loveys" for our newborn babies.
Welcome families and help with check-in.
Serve refreshments to students.
Help with video and sound during student-led worship.
1 - 2 hrs/week
Lead students in a morning devotional before school.
2 - 3 hrs/week
Lead students in a weekly time of Bible Study and prayer.
Lift up the prayers of our congregation.
Knit shawls to be given to those in need of prayer.
